I put new calipers, and rotors, on the beast a couple months ago. The drivers side was almost too tight with new pads, the pins didn't want to line up thru the outer side. Passenger side was fine.
I don't remember doing anything special to get the drivers side on besides tap the pin until it seated. Now I'm replacing the pads (bad master cylinder had front brakes doing most of the work) and the damn things will not line up :angry1: I've got the cylinder flush with the housing and I've tried with the spacers flush to the inside, the outside and centered. No dice. Anyone had this problem? I'd rather not split the caliper banging on it with a maul.

:doah:guess it's another one of those "only me" problems. In addition to all I mentioned I looked for the shim that comes on alot of pads, not there, I have the reservoir lid off and loosened the bleeder valve to release any fluid pressure too. Maybe just a malformed caliper from factory?

OK when I said "no heat shields" I should have said " didn't look hard enough for heat shield". Whole damn outer surface was the shield. Peeled thin halfass attempt at quality off and SLAM the bolts went right in.

So you're saying you're good now?
