Alright so I have the crossover on and clearing everything but I'm having some issues with lock to lock turning. I get full turns to the left but only half turns to the right. The wheel and pitman arm is centered dead straight. I even double check this morning that I didnt acidentally clock the pitman arm wrong. I turn the wheels to dead right and the steering wheel to dead right and then put the pitman arm on clocked to match.

What the hell am I doing wrong here? I would guess my Draglink is too short but I'm stumped.

What is the proper procedure for adjusting crossover?

You need to have the steering box centered and the wheels pointed straight ahead THEN put the draglink on and adjust it.

Don't make the mistake of thinking the steering wheel being lined up correctly mean the box is centered either because many people over the years have removed the steering wheel and positioned it a couple splines over to try and center the wheel.

I agree with 4x4high. Center the steering wheel AND steering box travel. Point the wheels straight, THEN attach the drag link.

Yeah I tried it with everything centered the first and third times. Perhaps I need to mark the sector shaft with some whiteout and count rotations rather than try to go off the steering wheel rotation.

Here's what you need to do. Remove the draglink from the pitman arm, now turn the steering wheel full lock to the left, count the amount of turns while you turn it full lock to the right, now turn it back half as many turns and the steering box will be centered. Make sure the wheels are pointing straight ahead before you do this. Now adjust the draglink until you can reinstall it and if need be you can make a fine adjustment afterwards. If the steering wheel is not centered properly then you will need to remove it and move it accordingly.

Ahhh ok so I see. You cant center the steering wheel via the draglink like you can with push pull? Perhaps this is where my problem is. I will do this tomorrow and report back.

I don't think the drag-link is the problem.
Even if you centered it the way you described, you should get lock to lock turning.
It's sounds to me that the steering arm doesn't match the pitman arm.
The steering arm is probably too long, not allowing lock to lock steering.

What pitman and steering arm are you using?

I'm using whatever trevor at wfo sent me. Its a drop pitman arm and their steering arm.

Ok, since you got both from the same place, they should match.
Unless they shipped wrong by mistake.

The reason I asked is, some steering arms are so long that they require the Superlift 1104 pitman arm.
While some shorter steering arms can be used with a shorter pitman-arm.

Wah lah thank you. I thought I had attempted this method early but apparently my friend is incapable of counting turns and then dividing by two.
