Ok the other day my driver and tailgate windows didn't roll up. Passenger is just fine. Fiddled with the tailgate and got that up, good to go for now.

Driver's window switch is all boogered up. Well the wire plug that pushes into the switch. Apparently the PO tried to fix it, sorta did, but stuck the broken terminal end, into another terminal end and crimped them. Anyhoo trying to touch wires to get it to go up. Apparently I don't know how a simple switch works

My blue and tan goto the motor. Pink is the hot, Black is ground. I'm touching touching touching, nothing's happening. I see ity bity sparks when I touch my brown (should be window up) to pink, but no go. I took all the wires out of the plug to try and get the passenger window to roll up, just so I know what wires to touch, and of course, w/o it being in the switch it didn't work.

What do I do just to get this up before it rains. Or at least what to touch to at least see if the motor is bad.

Well after hanging out and quit being frustrated and went back out there. Dawned on me to do the easy thing, put the wires for the driver's window into the passenger side of the switch. No worky. So I'm assuming the motor just up and died. Now to see if I can find a new switch, wire side plug and those funky terminal ends for it and fix what the PO did. Spent 15 minutes trying to scrape what appeared to be super glue out of the wire side of the plug. :doah:

And I read to bang/tap on the motor to see if I can get it to move, like you would a starter that's going bad. No go either :D

sounds like ur boned
I'd pull the motor out and check, directly using the wires going in, just for shiggles

I will in the next few days, supposed to be possible chance of snow and then rain for the next few days... after our 70s and 80 we just had. Gotta love Arkansas...

Went ahead and got a window seal kit since it's all gotta come out anyway. Mine were fubar. And found the switch connector and the funny terminals. ACDELCO PT546. Comes as a pig tail which I'm not fond of, but oh well. Just rather put in the terminal ends than splice wires.

Reach way down inside door panel and make sure the pigtail connector is seated into motor connector. That was my PO experience, played with switches all that stuff, no luck. Then i reached way down inside door and found the connector was not seated and would cotact whenever it felt like.

Yeah i know i have a big arm, i taped the sleave of my long sweatshirt to my wrist so it would not pull up. I still got scratched.
