suburban 40 gal tank into my k5?

i thought it was a direct swap to put a 40 gallon suburban tank into a K5. is this true?

i just want to get extended range for the drone of the daily commute.

I think you would need to move the front fuel tank crossmember forward. The 40gal tank I believe is 35" long, and the 31gal is 28... I think.
