SUBURBAN ARE THEY WORTH LIFTIN 10 INCHS OR TO HARD TO DRIVE

Nobody really needs that much lift. GM front driveshafts are very short to begin with and won't handle that much angle unless it's a custom unit. You'll have much better luck with a 4"-6" lift. And no, your 10 bolt axles will not hold up to anything larger than a 35" tire. Stock tires are even pushing it with the weight of a Suburban. Good luck with the searching though, there's lots of other posts about this topic already. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

It can be done, but it's alot of $$$ to do it right. First off, that much lift is going to mean some big tires. Might as well start looking for some 1-ton axles, cause those 10bolts won't last, and it'd be foolish to regear them when they will break anyways. In all honesty, to get the 10 inch, I'd go 6" suspension lift, + zero rates on both ends, and a 3" body lift. Next call up Jess at High Angle Driveline and have him build you some CV shafts. Lets not forget the crossover steering. That's just a few things too think about.

uhmm, I believe it's $25. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif and good search, glad someone has luck with it /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
