Suburban barn doors on a Blazer? Anyone done/seen this done or hinge on the side?

They used a tailgate, but if you're going this far with the mods, then using barn doors wouldn't be any harder.

not bad I like it with the exception of the top. I want it all and be able to remove the top LOL. I should just quit being cheap and do a soft top LOL.

How about deleting the barn doors and installing a tailgate has anyone done that? Or can it be done
