Suburban Chalet?

my wife was wanting one too when I brought the Chalet home and I still ended up buying a new 25' tt about 2 months later. Maybe I should have asked first.:D

We just handed over our 32' TT to the salvage company today. Blew three of the four tires while attempting to go to Washington two weeks ago. Newer TT's have alot of plastic and thin wood that doesnt like blown radial tires at 60-70mph. Did alot of damage that isnt seen from the outside, but inside the cabinets, wiring, heater ducts and plumbing got all sorts of FUBAR'ed.

:eek1::(:mad:

i'd love to have a chalet, maybe 1 day i will be able to get 1. its plenty big for my wife & I! do they have a bathroom and a sewer water tank? did they all come in 2wd? someone posted awhile back, a coachman on a k5 or a truck w/rear wall removed for the camper, i really liked that thing! i haven't been able to find it since, but it was NICE!

i really don't see the point, looks just about like a longbed crew cab pickup with a camper on it, would seem to be easier to just get the pick up and a real nice slide-in camper, possibly with much more room in it.

The pickup cab wouldn't be open to the camper.

ok then, they also make motorhomes for that situation as well :D

Yea but when your getting gas no one says "Whats that or I have seen better trucks in junk yards where did you ever get that thig!" :haha::haha::haha:

I categorically deny carrying a laminated plastic sheet with the Chalet specs and story 'cuz I got tired of saying the same thing over and over again every time I stopped for gas. (Which was often, in that thing :haha: )

Yes, and/or there were aftermarket slide-ins that really are easier to remove, thus yielding a more practical Blazer that could be used to haul big things in the back.

Chalet: it's an impractical, irrational love thing.:D

..anchorage.craigslist.org..wanted this but mama said no LOL.
Ah, yes, the lone Alaska pushpin on this Google map I created to correspond to the two 'for sale' lists we have in our Yahoo Chalet owners' & enthusiasts' forum. It's serial #566.

My name is a77blazerchalet. And I am a Chalet addict.:D

Two of the same 'burb/Chalet pics can be enlarged to see more detail at this kijiji.com ad. The rust issues are a little easier to see, and there does seem to be a serial number plate on the back, like mine - remember, gents, to get the serial # & build date when ya see this kind of camper, purty please.

OUCH! That's alotta rust on that Burb! I hope the drop in is in better shape. I almost convinced the wife to let me buy this thing, but not for that price with that much cancer!:eek1:

Well I have a blazer chalet and an extra shell and I working on plans to put it on a crewcab, I will be moving the chalet forward to create the least overhang possible.
Still working on some details and debating weather I start with the crew cab shell I have that needs paperwork or finding a clean truck and just doing the conversion and saving myself some time and headaches:D
Thanks Dremu for the photochop, I had been meaning to make one to see how it would look, now I can use yours and modify it to fit my needs.
