i saw a suburban dually the other day, i had to do a double take and damn near ran a red light. anyway, are those bad boys factory or what? either way it looked badass

They are not factory. They are aftermarket conversions. Dually axle and daully fender flares on a sub.

I knew a nerdy guy ( uncles friend ) with a red one . He used the dually fenders , and instead of duals , ran one huge ass Mickey ET on each side , kinda pro-street look /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Here's a 2wd conversion I had for a short while.

I claimed ownership for a short while from the time I picked it up, brought it back, till I got repaid for it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Through me, and thanks from help from Goober and KennyW on here, we found this Dually Suburban a home to new owners here in my town.

This one was one someone had bought a conversion kit for (special fenders that cleared the rear doors and even had the provision for a custom fuel filler door). It had a 14 bolt FF rear with Dually adapters, and spacers on the front hub assemblies.

I almost bought one last winter.
Guy had done a real sweet 1 ton conversion on it.
The entire front suspension had been replaced with 1 ton parts (all the a-arms, spindles, springs . . .)
And the guy had a D70HD under it to boot.
It needed the entire interior redone, but man did it drive nice.
Wish I would have gotten it anyway.

Dude, you need a weight distributing hitch!! Wow, I've never seen any of my 1 tons sag like that!!!

It has 10 leafs in the rear plus two overloads. But I've had plenty of loads on it that make it sag, though a majority don't. The Suburban was loaded a bit far foreward... so there was a bit more tongue weight than usual.

That is insane. I think my C30 has 12 leaves in the back and one overload IIRC, but it rarely ever squats more then 2" or so, and never that far.

Honestly, you really need a weight distributing hitch to be pulling that kind of weight.

You know, I was thinking about my hitch the other day... when I first got the truck, I looked and said "Before I tow too much weight, I want to add some bracing and such to the rear hitch/bumper." I was hooking the trailer the other day up to the probably 250th towed vehicle with it, and I was like... "You know, I never did re-inforce the hitch. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif"

Anyway, sorry to get off topic.

To re-focus... I've also seen a few other Dually Suburbans around town, one is a 4x4.

I'm the sales manager at our aftermarket accessory store and we use to do alot of conversions. We used a company by the name of Arrowcraft manufacturing. They have parts or whole kits to convert almost anything down to a regular cab 2wd shortbed C10 pickup.
