what are some good subs to install behind the seat of my pickup? i used to have 2 10" jl w1s in a sealed box that hit pretty hard, but i cant find them anymore. anyone else have any suggestions? i am wanting some pretty hard hitting bass.

You might wana post in the audio section, you will probably get more respnses there. Anyway, I have a 12 inch L7 Solobaric Kicker Square sub that hits like a 15 inch and sounds great.

yep those L7s are a great sub.i had 2 12s in my furd powerd by a RFpunch 800.hit real hard the back of my cab flexed from the bass.

I have two audiobahn 10" behind my seat. I am happy, that is the third set that I have tried and the are the best so far.

The audio section doesn't get that much lookie lous as the garage :wink1:

I have 2 10" Rockford Fosgate Punch II's that hit pretty hard!

I have 2 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch's in the back and they hit real hard. I am in audio comp. all the time and I have owned many different types of subs but these Rockfords are my fav. My new subs are sitting in my basement :D 2 Jvc 10's.

L7's ROCK!!!!!!!!
I'm planning on putting 1 (one) 12" in my '97 Chevy pickup... can't imagine what two would do in there

My buddy has 3 L7's in a little dodge colt. It is sick the car should blow it's body panels off. Solobaric's are real good. My second set of subs were round 2 10" round solobarics. I loved them until they hit way to hard and fried.

I have 2 MTX audio 4000 series in a thunderform box under my dodge truck seat, pushed with a M350 class D alpine amp. My butt can make louder noises after I eat Taco Bell. :doah:

Not in a truck, but I run a single 12" DVC Kicker L7 (in a large slot port box) wired at 1ohm powered with a MMATS D200hc in the daily driver and it hits very very hard !!! I recomend having a local car stereo shop build a custom box behind the seat.

I just swapped head units today.

It's very impressive what a difference that made.

when it comes to subs, there are only 2 words you need to know

Rockford ... and ... Fosgate.

Seriously though, I run 2 rockford stage 1's in my DD and they thump HARD. They are being pushed by a Rockfod P3001, and an Eclipse CD5425 head (deck).

if you are going to do a full system, dont skimp on the deck, it makes all the difference in the world.

Rottenfurd Fosbreak ??? If I was made of money I'd have TREO Engineering SSX's or MMATS Juggernauts. But for a more resonalbly priced sub, it's hard too beat the Kicker L7.

ok well keep in mind these are going behind the seat of my standard cab 84 chevy, i need something that hits hard and is shallow, i have a set of 10" orion xtrs that hit hard but the magnet is too deep

That's why I mentioned having a car stereo shop build a custom box behind the seat. I would think they could build a box for those 10" XTR's.

i ran 3 10" JLs powered by phenix gold in my firebird-ran 2 in my 86 S-10 p/u. AWSOME! i been pulled over by cops for it being to loud. sold on the setup. have had many others and have setup and installed manny many others.

Fosgate is the only way to go man :deal: , they have different levels of subs available I believe the best is pro, however I have the standard one's (best buy) in an isometric box. 2 10's that hit so FN hard :saweet: I had to turn the gain all the way down on my Fosgate 200 amp. I had these in and Xterra and could only turn the gain up 1/2 way. these are in my daily driver and I can rattle my rearview mirror so hard it will fall straight down. FOSGATE

Yeah we have a sytem in our Xterra that is Rockford Fosgate that came stock with it that hits pretty hard for a stock setup. Rockford Fosgate seems to be more popular with the HiFi crowds.
