Has anyone noticed a quality problem with the Summit brand of AN fittings? I'm plumbing a fuel system at work and I'm finding a lot fittings that will not seal properly. When I plumbed my truck I used Russel fittings and none of them leaked, but I'm having a hard time with the Summit ones. I called Summit but they just said I could send them back and they would "inspect" then and issue a refund if they found a defect. They, of course, said they have had no complaints about their fittings. Hardly worth the effort to ship them back for $20-30 worth of fittings.

The only thing I found in searching the web was this:

:dunno:

I've noticed that the fittings one particular plastic type fuel cell mfg makes for their cells are dead soft. The only thing that saves them is the anodizing. When I machine them for the various weird uses at work I have to be carefull not to tear them right out of the lathe chuck.

Could be that you have fittings from the same source.
