I got a few, lets go with this one.
About 2 years ago me and two buddies were doing our weekly run on "12 mile road" A formerly paved road, although with maintenance since about 1946. So its pretty much a very steep, very muddy road with more a couple water crossing and a few pieces of pavement sticking up about 6 inches from the mud.
Anyway, There was my friend Caleb in his frame off rebuilt 94 K1500, my other friend Tanner (Who I'm riding with), in a stock 93 K1500 with over 300,000 miles,
We were doing alright, it was starting to rain, so things were starting to get very, very slippery. we are getting along alright for the most part, until we come to the first water crossing, it was flowing pretty good so we stopped to think about the plan of attack, while we're doing that, Caleb decides to point his truck at a puddle next to us, and rip donuts in the mud until the headers are glowing cherry red. He just blasts on through the creek, so Tanner decides to try it, he barely makes it out the other side, but the 350 is not pleased with things, Water got into the under the dizzy cap, and did its thing, and the truck was now running on 5 cylinders.
There was no hope of pulling the dead truck back through the creek, so we chain them together, and point them at the steepest, muddiest part of the trail. We were about 5 yards from the crest of the hill, when both trucks, in unison, slid into the ditch. Not one pulled the other, they slid in unison. And neither had any hope of getting out. We got stuck around 5:30, and we were there until 1:45 in the morning, when Calebs neighbor came out there with his 6.0 LS powered 78 K20, and pulled both trucks back down the hill, through the creek, and all the way back to the highway.
I only have one picture of the trucks while stuck unfortunately, and its not a very good one.
