Super Budget On-board Compressor

Wait you can fill a tire up with CO2? Well that seems like a much cheaper and simpler way than my frankenstien creation.

You can use co2 to fill tires. Compressed air is practically free, but co2 isn't. The paintball place charged me ~$40 for my 10lb powertank. The co2 lasts a lot longer than air though. The beverage place is a bit cheaper. But at least they refill your tank. There's some welding shops that will exchange your empty co2 cylinder for a full one if you don't mind exchanging cylinders.

CO2 is actually better because it doesn't have condensation so no risk of having water in your tire.
And yes the volume gets you way more fill ups versus air.

Only problem with an exchange program at a welding co or somehting, is that (around here at least) there is like a $180 deposit on the tanks, so that really blows. I guess if you look around, but I know our local place wont exchange unless its there own tank. For that price, my free scuba is way worth it.

for $40 i had my old 20lb nitrous tank converted to co2 the fill cost me 25 bucks, i do need to invest in a high volume regulator which is about $100 because i will freeze up the one i got from the welding supply from taking 1 lug nut off with the impact, but as for filling tires i'll never look back.
