Super Swamper SSR questions/opinions

Well, I have been running my 38x12.50's for two years with no issues. I am really shocked at how long they have lasted. I got them used and they had about 75% tread on the fronts and about 50% on the rears. The fronts are at about 60% and the rears are down to about 30%. They have around 20,000 on them just from me, and the guy I got them from swears he had at least that much on them, so....My only complaint is that they are loud on the freeway. Other than that, I love' em and they wear good for me. Tire pressure is the key! /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif I wasn't directing what I said at you...I was saying that a set of SSR's should last a while if the person doesn't drive like a 16 year old boy driving home from the DMV after getting licenced. Not you or your 2 buddies but anyone in general, mainly to chevy4life that was asking about them.

chev4life sent ya some pics in your e-mail /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Hmmm /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif I still never saw the difference, but I guess an inch on each side prolly isn't even noticeable /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Maybe you are right tim /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Yeah the Van 14B will equal out the rear tires to match the front /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Those numbers look pretty good to me, they used to be on ORD's site but I couldn't find them when I looked.

I did PM Dr. Watson this morning asking for a little assistance on this thread, but it looks like it has already been answered.

This is another one of those times when it's hard to get your point across when everyone thinks you're wrong and being an ass. That was not my intention just trying to be sure that the correct information is spread around the board.

I didn't think you were being an ass Tim /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I have just seen the question asked so many times "is the 3/4 ton stuff wider?" and the answer is always no. Maybe just because the rear is still 3" narrower everybody thinks it the same.

I am prolly gonna pull my hubs/rotors today I'll lay it down with a 6 lug and get a pic /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

MTBLAZER89, you rock! /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
Those things look awesome on there. I think the backspacing will be me perfect! Now to find rims that are powder coated aluminum...any ideas?

1/2T fronts seem to be about 67"
1/2T rears around 64"
14FF (single wheel) is about 67
14FF (C&C 1-ton) is about 63-64
GM and Ford D60's run about 69-70"

I've run 16x8 with a 3" backspace on 8 lug and liked the stickout for offroad but it throws a bunch of crap on the side windows in the crappy weather, I think my current wheels must have a tad less sticking out of the fender because it's not a problem anymore.
