Superlift front springs?

At $100 a spring they got to be cheap. My 8" front SkyJackers "made in America" cost a little more than double that for each spring.

As somebody that has over 30-yeras experience in the automotive industry you would be surprised at how many times I have see this kind of stuff, and the customer tries to say we did to their vehicle just to sell them repairs. I have also seen mechanics that screwed up peoples vehicles as well. F ups in the automotive industry can go both ways, which is why I work on my own vehicles because I know better that to trust anybody but myself.
Nah, I didn't say anything about RC. As a matter of fact I run some of their parts on my Tahoe and it's been just fine.
So then you had the money to spend on good springs after saving on the initial purchase price of the truck!
I will state my sermon again, quickly.
After trying TC EZ-RIDE on my '70, then going to ORD, I went straight to them for my '90 because I couldn't justify spending the time and money to build a truck, and end up hating the ride a 2nd time. Yes, they have shorter springs on the '67-'72 trucks, but I wasn't going to try a "kit" again. Around town AND offroad is much better.

I have a 4” long arm kit on my ZJ and it’s excellent. I’ve been out wheeling with some other jeepers and watched so-called better kits (like Clayton junk) break right off.
I had a RC long arm kit on my grand cherokee, it was good. I also had RC springs on my k5 the first go around, not so good.
Since all my trucks have been big heavy @SS 1-Tons, something I have noticed is that spring hight manufacture specs are based on single cab trucks and 1/2-ton blazers. If you put a lift spring on a crew cab or Suburban with all the extra weight from sheet metal and frame you are not going to get the amount of lift that the manufacture specifies. A 450-pound Dana-60 can wear out a low budget off the shelf spring real quick sometimes.
I’ve seen similar results with Clayton stuff, don’t always get what you pay for, rustys stuff is awful as well.
No fight here, got 18 years in myself. I think a lot of times people that buy a cheaper kit also want to pay less in labor so they have a hack shop install it then blame the lift when it all goes to shit.
late to the party, and somewhat irrelevant, but... Mutt has 6" SL's up front....... got em used from Kert, not a spectacular ride, but I've always been surprised at how well they rode.. considering I had always remembered hearing/reading that Superlift springs rates where stoopid high..
@ZooMad75 Did you get a true 4" of lift out of those Superlift springs with your big block and winch?
