Hey all! I was just working on my bb18 list and was wondering how much gasoline I should bring? As long as things go as planned I plan on running All three days. Obviously I will show up with a full tank so I’ll be good for Friday. Can we just drive our rigs to the gas station and fill ‘em up every evening or morning or should I bring extra cans etc...thanks!

How big is your tank? Spare gas is always a good idea but always fill up the primary tank before the trail just to be safe.

It’s the 31 gal tank I belive. I assume there are gas stations with diesel fuel in town for the tow rigs correct?

Moab is not a tiny town. It has mostly everything you will need. No Walmart but if you forget something you will be able to get something.

Most of the trails you won't even come close to 31 gallons.

Haha yeah, I was just looking at the map and realized it’s pretty good size town.
Is the big bbq a potluck or is the food already taken care of?

The BBQ is usually taken care of by ORD and damn good! Bring your own beer.

And I didn’t carry any gas, barely went through a 1/2 tank (31 gal tank) on two trail days.

One of the biggest things I see people forget out there is water. Drinking water and about 10 gallons of b grade water for cooling issues and possibly putting out a small fire! You'll be glad you had it if something comes up.

Definitely. And all that “b” grade water can be drinkable with a lifestraw or katadyne filter.

I bought some of those cool towels for my friends and myself. We dipped them in the cooler water and put them under our hats. Those really helped on the first day when it was pretty hot.

NO BEER at the BBQ.

City ordinance. If someone gets caught with beer (alcohol) we will lose the permit and get fined.
That’s not open for discussion. Information was passed along to Wade in the off-season stating as such

Well shit, I’ll bring vodka then.

Pretty sure it’s not a new ordinance. Just being enforced with some vengeance from the sounds of it

I’ll accept blame as Parent of the Year for being the messenger

Well, that’s damn good info to know. Can anyone say “pre-game”. Lol

There are several signs at all the parks in Moab, no alcohol allowed. And they have been there since the first time I went in the 90s.
