blazer 87 1tons Alcan springs. So finally got to drive this thing I’ve been working on it since January (spare time two kids lol) drove it around the block testing the ride out just finished putting shocks on and buttoning up the small stuff . All is going well head back up my hill still no problem pull in the driveway and notice it’s leaning hard get out and look the passenger front leaf spring is flat ! At this point super frustrated leave it as it go get dinner with the family hr 1/2 long . Get back home still sitting the same way repark the blazer and it went back up ? Haven’t had much time to analyze the issue but a quick look and all looked normal just a flat spring . Any input is appreciated thanks in advance . All I can think of is something binding but I saw nothing.

You have a shackle flip or poly bushings?
First thought is the bushings may be over tightened.

My 4" lift 52" long ORD front springs are flat. Just always are. As long as they don't change, I'm fine with it. The lean thing, well, you'll have to get used to that. The soft springs will let the truck park funny. Run a swaybar or stiffer springs. :dunno:

I was thinking that also I’ll haft to re check. But no flip just bushings.

If it’s a normal thing that’s fine I just want to know if somethings wrong ?

Think the torque spec from ORD (if that’s where you got the bushings from) is either 75 or 90 ft/lbs forget which, but he also says to tighten them just enough to start compressing the bushing. Doesn’t need to be tight since it has a pinch lock nut.

I’ll double check thanks .

You don't want loose leaf spring bushings. The bolt should draw the shackle or spring mount against the sleeve. That's why bushings have a sleeve. Loose bolts just make for worn bolts, wallowed out holes and possibly loose feeling steering.

Do you have a sway bar? They do bind with aftermarket springs, unless you run swaybar disconnects.

Did you replace all 4 springs or just the fronts? If one of your stock rear springs has a broken leaf or is worn, the front will droop a lot more with softer springs up there.

Everything is new no sway bar .

Try and park on perfectly flat ground. Ensure all tire pressures are equal. Make sure the steering is straight ahead. Roll is back and forth a bit to undo any tension acting on the tires...

Then get out and look, and post a pic if things aren't right...

it’s leaning hard
