Some of the flex shots with Springer Suspension are still up.
A four link is a much better option, but this Springer was never designed to compete with a four link. It was used to get crazy flex using cheap stock products.
Unloading on down hill or side hill situation is total hogwash. I have run this suspension now for well over 5 years now, and I have run it HARD. More than most, and I have NEVER had it unload on downhill and or side hill situations.
Like Harley said above. I have a little less travel in the front, but not much less, WITH leaf springs. They are a hybrid setup, but they are flex and they are soft. But also like Harley said, I have broken a few main leafs. But overall it has been worth it.
Leaf springs are still the bomb in certain applications, and one application would be, being not loaded and able to afford all the cool stuff, coilovers etc....
