Late last year I bought jekquist's old tires, 38.5x15x16.5 boggers. I'm gonna mount them on H1 wheels and run them on my Trazer so I can meet the tire size requirements at The Cliffs offroad park (max tire size of 39.5) Well, I have a friend of a friend who has a practically brand new set of 38.5x14.5x16.5 Super Swamper SX's. He wanted to know if I would be interested in trading two of my boggers for 2 of his swampers.

My plan was to remove every other tread on the 2 rear boggers then do angle cuts on the front boggers, since I hear boggers don't have very good lateral traction. But with the possiblity of trading for 2 swampers, this might be a better choice? Any reason why I shouldn't do this? The places I wheel consist of tight, twisty, heavily wooded areas. And the trails are usually pretty sloppy.

Thanks

There are a few guys in our club that run TSL front and Boggers rear and are happy with them. The one guy started out with TSLs all around and then put the Boggers on the rear. He said there was a small, but noticable, difference in straight line traction.

I have also seen several people run the Boggers with all of the little lugs cut out. The traction is good but the lugs seem to get rounded out and worn down very fast, even on trail only rigs.
