Swapping cargo doors to tailgate on Suburban.

Anyone done this? Are the holes there? When I swapped the SM465 in place of the TH700R4, the holes were all dimpled, I just had to drill/cut them out. I found a 1982 GMC Jimmy that I can buy the topper and bed rails/back of cab for $50. The problem is the tailgate and hinges are shot. Completely. I want to graft the removable roof onto the rear of my 1988 V10 Suburban.

I contemplated mounting a piece of plexi glass in the rear of the topper, and just cutting my cargo doors off at the body line, and capping the top of them. Might be hard to seal, and would make it kind of unhandy not being able to easily remove the rear window.

So you and I both know I am retarded by why won't the barn doors fit in the blazer roof? Isn't the sub and blazer tailgate/window the same? I am just thinking they should fit and when you have the top off pull the doors and put on a truck tailgate. I have a super nice GMC one

The Burb tailgate/glass is different from the Blazer

the angle of the rear of a burb and a k5 is very different. The k5 is vertical like a truck, the burb is angled in. The burb tailgate is also much taller.

the tailgate from a k5 wouldn't work on a burb without major body work.
