Swapping fenders...not so good today - UPDATED

more than reasonable price imo... bodywork is exceptionally labor intensive... think about it, i get $95 an hr at my job... 15 hr's and another 4, $500 in materials... i'd bet the farm they had double that in labor at least...

This is why I love being a body tech and doing all my own body work.

Body shop work is not cheap. I had got several quotes for just rust repair alone on ONE front fender (not replacing) and they were between $1200-1500, and that was with me removing the bumper, side marker light and molding! - Although these weren't quotes from MACCO type places. I'm sure they would have quoted me less. I think I was very fortunate to get everything I got done at under 2k.

you wont be saying that after 20, 30 yrs of breathing that cr*p in... for as much as i love bodywork, i'm damn glad i dont do it for a living anymore... :haha:

Wheel arch moldings

Looks awesome. Where did you get your wheel arc mouldings that you're going to put in? Are they OEM? I don't think LMC has them for '89-'91.

LMC does have them, although they are pretty flimsy in my opinion. You can get them for 89-91. Part # 38-7009 for the 4 pc. set @ 59.95. I have only put one on so far and it fit pretty good, although I did have to drill a couple new holes (aftermarket fender). You need to be real careful with them because its like tin foil, they will bend, kink, crimp easily. I may look around for something a little more stronger.
