Swapping in d44/14bff

Okay, I read over it again and I get it now. That's wierd though because 3/4 tons normally use 16" wheels to clear the caliper, right?

the 3/4 ton calipers are supposed to have bigger pistons right? can you use the 3/4 ton caliper on a six lugger?

the grinding on 3/4 tons is because of the caliper bracket, not necessarily the caliper itself. if you bring the bracket size down real tight to the rotor you dont grind as much.

and 3/4 ton and 1/2 ton front calipers are dimensionally identical, but the 3/4 ton version is supposed to be better. and yes you can put a 3/4 caliper on a 1/2 ton truck.

i also like this because you have four identical calipers if you do rear discs.

im also getting ready to do this conversion. lots of great info. thanks guys. i do have one question, mine has 13in drums. will the k5 brake booster and master cylinder be ok with the 3/4 ton brakes?
