I want to change the box on the firewall to just heat. I thought I remembered where someone made a plate that looked good to cover the hole. Also for those that done this, anything special in doing this?

I have some factory just heat boxes will trade for good ac box.
The boxes probably won't just swap.

Pretty sure they are an exact swap.
So I can only speak to the years I have done this which is 73 and a 76. The outside boxes are not a straight swap. Very do able yes but not straight. If you have all the under dash stuff it's better. All the bolts line up then. Not hard at all but it's not just a unbolt and bolt on. Plus the holes you have to cover in the firewall
I know the heater cores are different.
