I stumbled upon an 82 crew cab. Basically a rolling chassis with no running gear. Thinking this would be a better "trail clean up truck" than the 74 longbed std cab I am currently building. If for no other reason than I have two large dogs that would usually be with me on clean up days).

I would basically need to swap all my running gear into this truck.

Is there anything I will run into problems with?

Can I take the whole front clip off the 74 and put it on the 82 cab?

Swap in the 454/700/208/14bff/D44 from my 74?

Bushwhacker flares should fit, my seats should fit.

Anything I am missing?

on my 76 jimmy when I wrecked mine I went to the new front end the really only different thing I ran into that was a minor problem was the way the hood hinges mount to the firewall I bought hinges I couldn't use but anything other than that bolted up just fine

Is it that easy in CO to decide which tag you will be using?
Here it's the original body or frame that regulates what smog requirements, if you are keeping the crew cab and frame how can you make it a 74?
Is it by the front clip or LOOKS that they go?
