Just got it home with binding right rear drum. Stuck before even driving it...

Still in the barn where I found it.

Long story short, it came from the factory with 454/400, was converted to 5.9bt6/nv4500 and now came with a '91 6.2d/400 on the side.
Came to sweden from oregon in 09, blew the nv4500 before it even got registered.and been sitting ever since.
Good: 100% rustfree
Sierra classic package
Hydroboost
Helper airbags on all four corners
3, yes three, fueltanks.had a generator at one time.
Bad: probably glowplugheads in one or more cylinders.
400 trans combined with low rpm diesel and 4:56 gears
Mega ugly bed :D

Plans: get a 87 up 700 trans.
go through the engine.
Hopefully change to std bed.
Upgrade from 16" rusted chrome wheels to 17" or 19,5" aluminum rims if money permits.

sure you want tiny 700r4 for that big pig ?

I would fix the nv4500 my self first . or 4l80-e that thing if auto is desired .

and 19.5 I don't think will fit on 2wd . the 4wd I have seen pics of had 4" lift to clear .

I have 19.5" wheels with 245/70/19.5 and they fit fine with no lift.
They are just shy of 33"x10.5

A later 700/4l60 would do fine for what I plan.
Would say it will be Daily driven empty 99% of the time.
And the nv4500 is long gone along with the cummins.

Googled the crap out of this:D
Seems the 89-92 700/4l60 use the tps to control lockup.
Need to buy a 87-88 2wd trans I guess.

No biggie.I've got a us shippingadress in Linden Nj. I use jetcarrier.com works great.
But the cost of shipping often makes it cheaper to buy used parts here.
