First official post!
I have been a huge fan of the 72 K5's for as long as I remember. I am stoked that I finally have one to call my own. I figured I would make a few minor upgrades to take it the next level. Well... as the story goes, the deeper I dug, the more I found that I wouldn't be okay leaving alone.

I've decided to take it all the way down to the frame. I just purchased a 2014 LS3 with a 6 speed tranny, Vintage Air system and doing the Painless Wiring kit. Since I am upgrading the power-plant, I need to upgrade the braking system.

Has anyone that has done a LS swap upgraded their braking system? If so what did you do? Not sure if I should I be looking to do master booster or Hydro Stop? Looking at running Bear or Wilwood brake system, just unsure the proper setup for this horsepower.

Here are a couple pics of when I bought it vs. today.

Wow, you started with a clean one! Welcome!

Hey! You got my blazer!
I had to go out to the shop and make sure it was still there. I thoughthink maybe it was feeling neglected and left me. :)

Sounds like you plan a lot of the same upgrades I made. Glad to help if I can. My build thread is in my sig.

WOW! They are related for sure. I am beyond anxious to get this build underway, just need to get all the correct pieces together. I'll take a look at your thread and may hit you back if I have questions.

Looking forward to being part of the crew ~

sweet ride!! My K5 was trashed (very abused) when I got it. This is 6 years of blood, sweat and cash! I've always liked the 1st gen K5, If you can find them around here they are pricey. Congrats!!
