Just wanted to put out the alert, i found a sweet 90 suburban in Sacramento, Ca, and wanted to let anyone know that might be looking for one. I can't make the purchase rite now, so i thought i'd post it up....

1990 2500 4x4, 194k, Motor/trans seemed strong from my quick test drive, they don't have the rebuild history but i bet both were rebuilt.

It has some aftermaket 16x8's on it with 33x12.50 AT's with about 1/2 their tread left

Blue/Grey two tone, Blue interior. Barn Doors on back.

VERY clean inside and out.

Anyways, its at a little dealer off of Sunrise. Asking $4000

Hammer's Auto World
Jack Hammer
4250 Sunrise Blvd
Fair Oaks, CA 95628

916-967-5500

PS. I know this is one of my first posts in this fourm, ive been a reader for a long time though. I am in no way affilitated with this dealer, i just thought it was a sweet burb and wanted to put the alert out!

Thanks!

I think it was a 350. How would you tell if it was a 454 anyways, besides teh valve covers?

As for tranny, wasn't the 90 trans for that truck a 700r4?
Not sure on that either, just that is what i remember.

A 454 was not available in a 4x4 burb until 1992 unless it was swapped in. So it should be a 350.

I thought they were offered in the last few years of the old body style, like 89-91. If i was at home, id check out the sales brochure, but i can't right now.

Anyone else wanna confirm either of our answers?

My understanding is the 454 was only offered in the R burbs(latter year burbs). The only V trucks to get it were the Cab in chassis and crews.
