Swetty's 89 Burb! The Saggin Wagon

Picked this up the other day from a guy I work with. 1989 Suburban, Silverado trim, 350 TBI, 700R4, NP241, and 10 bolts front and rear. Triple bench seats :pimp: and the fancy woodgrain trim on the bezel. It has the typical GM shitty paint from the 80's. And of course, barn doors :D

Current plans are to drive the snot out of it and fix some little things here and there and maybe do a 3/4 ton swap when I pull those axles out of the Trazer and go one ton. Thinking of making it a good camping/road trip/ do anything that I need it to do vehicle. On to the pictures!

Love it. I used to have one with the exact reverse paint job. Miss that thing.

The more I drive it the more I like it. This thing runs effing great. I forgot what I was like to drive a stock truck after driving the K5 for so long.

Yeah, I saw that. But why rob the axles from it?

Edit: I just re-read your OP. My bad. As you were sir...:D

I had the same truck, but two wheel drive. One of the best riding truck I've owned.......Smell kinda funny now I think about.......I miss the ride.

Sub'ed for a sub

Nah, not permanently. I'm over the mileage on my lease (at least on a projection) so I needed something cheap to help keep that down because I don't want to pay mileage fees on it.

So you front the money for a 26 year old gas guzzler, pay more to register, insure it, pass inspection, not to mention the maintenance cost of these old trucks... just to prevent paying overage fees? Damn you must drive ALOT!

Well I've got a forty-five thousand mile lease. I'm 19 months through the 36 months.... I've got 29K on the car. At this rate id be about 4K over. I dont wanna pay the 33 cents a mile or whatever it is. I'm into it for one grand so far.... Registration, insurance, and other little stuff included.
