I finally got my Christmas present installed (why rush into it:rolleyes:) I have a Warn 16.5ti with 90 feet of 7/16 wire rope. 90 feet is way too short and my wife hates pulling this heavy ars cable. So I went with 125 feet of 3/8 Viking synthetic rope with the safety thimble. Here are some pics:

So I ended up with more room on left on the drum than I had with the wire rope, and it didn't have any tension on it (I have to do that before I use it for the first time). Now for the funny part: the first pull will be winching the burb into the garage so I can pull and rebuild the tranny:doah:.

But how do you get this

Well, I figured that if I remove the roof rack and let a little air out of the tires, it will fit right in there. So I took the spare, axle, Pull Pal, and the lights off.

Tomorrow the rack comes off (I ould do it myself today, but I don't have enough replacement glass to take care of the windows I would break getting the rack off).

Just pull the tranny in the snow!!,:D By time you get the roof rack off, you coulda had the trans out!!:D:haha:

My Blazer has 6" of lift and 35s and the back end doesn't quite droop enough to fit in the garage. So I drive it in with flat tires. It makes it fit, and it's really fun to drive a blazer with flat boggers through an eight foot wide door. I have some 15" steelies that I want to put some shortie low profile car tires on, so I can swap them and have an easier time getting the truck indoors.
