The Jimmy has a SM465 and slip yoke 208 t-case. I need a new driveshaft after the lift and 1 ton swap. Not a fan of the slip yoke but this isn't going to be a hardcore crawler. I'll use it mostly during unting season, light wheeling and around the mall :D
I already have the new perches welded to the axle tube setup for a CV shaft.
Options are get a slip yoke CV d-shaft
Wait who knows how much longer for imiceman44 to sell his SYE for the 208 then get a Flange mount CV d-shaft
Swap in a fixed yoke 205. I have one but it's mated to a TH400

Thoughts?

Why do you need a new 'shaft? I'm assuming because of the length?

If its the u joint, just run a conversion to your 14B rear.

Sounds like you won't be doing anything hardcore, so you should be fine with the 208. If you have the funds, I say SYE the 208 and get the proper CV driveshaft.

208 is plenty strong to use and a sye kit would be nice. 205 would be nice, but you'd have to source a 205/465 adaptor to make it work. You may spend more on that then the 208 sye and beefy shaft from tw.

I bought a 208 conversion for SYE but I also have a 465/205 combo and 400/205 combo sitting here..just in case :D

For what you are doing, an NP208 is better than an NP205.
