Tach\'s in 1st gens common?

I know that not to easy to find in 2nd gen 70's k5's.

no the tach in a first gen is extremely rare. Best of my knowledge it only came in the cheyene and the big heavy trucks and I think the cheyenne package it was optional. Original dashes seem to run in the $300+ range. IIRC

well my 69 k5 has a tach. I don't think that they are that rare... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Actually, tachs in '67 - '72 GM trucks and Blazers are pretty common. Much more common than in the '73 and up trucks.

guess you've had better luck spotting originals than I have, the ones here in texas and through the magazines it seem hard to find an original. from what I've read it' only the cheyenne trucks that came with them.
