1: Buy Tach
2: Follow installation instructions included with Tach

They aren't that hard to install. I put mine in in less than one hour. I think it took me longer to decide where to put it than to hook it up. You'll have one wire go to ignition power, another for the light in it, another to your distributor, and of course the ground. The instructions should tell you which wire to hook it up to on the distributor.

on the coil there is (should be) and empty connector, thats your tach lead.

I also put a digital tach in my ashtray (i never use it) and it hides the tach when I dont want to see it
