tailgate rebuild help please

there is a glue specifically designed for things like this, its called u-481 its a urethane type adhesive. i used it for a boat windshield (no frame in the corners or center spoke just glued) and my dad has used it in every car hes rebuilt, it doesn't etch into the laminate of glass, clean up sucks but can be cleaned out later (if window breaks)and stays somewhat soft. you can buy it at almost any glass shop

Try to measure up on all aspects in order to see all the things that you might work out on your tailgate rebuild. Search up other options or resources in order to really make things work out for your vehicle. I hope that all will be well.

Does anybody make the rubber parts more precise than LMC? I plan to do this soon....
I have found most of the stuff from Classic Parts is higher quality than what you get from LMC, at least as far as rubber stuff goes.

Classic Industries is another, but I have never dealt with them to know how good their stuff is.

Hope those will help
