Tailgate rod

working on getting my tailgate to open, which was a nightmare. Anywho,
I had to manually pull the rods to disengage the latches which was not easy. this piece broke.
I can now, thankfully, open the tail gate but Id like to use the latch.

Mine is a manual open window. This piece keeps the driver side latch rod engaged in the opening mechanism.

Here is the piece Im after, I found nothing on LMC, partly because Im not even sure whay the part is called.
Tried a few home remedies but nothing works as the metal rod needs to move as the plastic keeps it mounted the opening device.

not sure what tailgate page I was looking at on lmc? Looks to be what Im after, thanks.
