As title says, I put on a 1" ORD BL and would like to retain functionality of the tailgate helper springs. Being spring steel, I haven't had much luck bending them and if I use them as-is they want to pop behind the stops on the frame.
I've tried searching and saw that a lot of people ditched them and regretted it. Anybody have a creative solution for this? I need to raise the stops, but they are at the top of the frame horn. I'm considering fabbing up a bracket to raise get them higher. Wondering what anyone else did to correct it.
