Tailgate

Are the internals (power window) interchangeable as well?? Thanks.

As long as we're talking Blazer tailgates only, not involving Suburbans, then yes, all the bits interchange nicely. I have a power tailgate with an '85 shell with '74 glass and '89 electrics and such.

Note that Suburban tailgates are different and IIRC neither the insides nor the glass are direct bolt-ups for Blazers.

You are correct, the Sub tailgates are taller, glass is shorter, motor's are mounted directly to the regulator and don't use a cable, regulator's don't move as far, and even the external shape is different. The internal tailgate handle will interchange though.

Thanks guys mine is total junk no glass rotted out and actually coming apart everywhere and I saw one on Clist.

Yeah I found out the hard way about the burban tailgate thing a buddy and me were at a swap meet and got convinced that they were the samewell now im the proud owner of a rust free 100 dollar burban tailgate. but on a posative note he gave me a half top for my 75 blazer its really nice and I only paid 30 bucks for it. It was made by a company not comeone cutting one down either
