I know the bedsides on a k/c10 can be unbolted from the rest of the box, but has anyone done it? Also, does anyone have any links or resourses on this?

Thanks.

i'm taking mine off with a sawzall and plasma cutter so that i don't ruin the paint. not sure if that helps. i know a guy here on ck5 did a pretty good write up on removing his bedsides but can't remember if it was on a pickup or blazer.......

What do you need to know?
The forward most section will be unstable if you remove the sides, otherwise you end up with a flat bed with fenderwells over the tires.
I made that as a trailer but no use for me as a truck with no sides.
It's all bolts so it's just a matter of unbolting them.

The last bed that I took apart had some spot welds on the rear most crossmember where it joined with the bed side, just ground them off & the rest of it unbotled.
