There’s no cheap easy smoking gun. If you want a reliable quality EFI, you’ll have to pay for it…
BOO! (sadly, Debbie Downer speaks the truth)

It's called factory EFI. Millions of dollars were spent validating it, unlike aftermarket EFI.There’s no cheap easy smoking gun. If you want a reliable quality EFI, you’ll have to pay for it…

The criteria listed were "cheap, easy, reliable, quality". The engines we're talking about in this thread are not exotic. If a factory system was developed for your engine, that's generally easier to get running than the mandatory tuning phase of aftermarket stuff.I'll agree that factory EFI works far superior on a stock / stock-ish engine but there are limitations that go with it hence the market for aftermarket systems.

The only real limit is cam size, which for off road wouldn't be a problem since we want low end torque.I'll agree that factory EFI works far superior on a stock / stock-ish engine but there are limitations that go with it hence the market for aftermarket systems.

Another successful start up.I have had zero issues with my Holley Terminator system that wasn't self induced.
This weekend I'm flying to start a Holley Sniper, this will be my 5th setup and have had zero issues.![]()

That shows you know how to install it. The issues with ECMs and parts failing comes laterAnother successful start up.![]()
Furthest any system has done is mine at about 2,500 milesThat shows you know how to install it. The issues with ECMs and parts failing comes later
At one point I was loosely tracking outcomes of aftermarket EFI systems. Of the units that had a “failure” about half were strictly install problems. The other were part failure ironically lose to the the 1 year mark
That’s for all brands, but certain models had a seemingly higher sample size of data
But yours is a Terminator. There’s a significant price difference between that and the Sniper/FiTechFurthest any system has done is mine at about 2,500 miles
Pet peeve, maybe? The factory did NOTHING to validate and only had minor input to the design - regarding manufacturability. The factory ASSEMBLES, using the design handed to them. So many stupid posts about "What was the factory thinking..." They were thinking about how to build the design given to them - as they should.Meh, can’t disagree that the factory did lots of work. But so have select aftermarket companies, of which eliminate numerous idiosyncrasies of factory EFI
I guess I don’t understand why you keep quoting me. My issues with stock systems are tuning limitationsPet peeve, maybe?
