Ok so here is a tangent.
If you want narrow and heavy duty tires, you have another option but it's not 17" rims.
Get yourself some 19.5" rims and use one of the many sizes ranging from 36" to 42".
There are companies that make single wheels in 19.5" now for RV's that don't want dually but want the g load rating
I thought of that. Problem is most if not all 19.5's run a 10 lug. For me that means adapter to get that pattern and I'm not willing to do that. I need something in the E load range that will still dig in the snow. Most of the larger 19.5's are highway tires. Although I have seen some industrial tires in that range.
