I need to pass emissions in Arizona soon and my vehicle has nothing on it right now emissions wise. It's a 1983 vehicle, but I converted it to TBI. From what I can gather, they aren't super thorough in AZ, but they might look for the EGR and charcoal canister and will certainly look for the cat converter.

I looked up the canister for a 1991 Blazer on Rock Auto and it looked like it has three connections on the picture, two hoses plus something else... can someone explain where these connections are supposed to go?

The EGR looked to still have just the single vacuum hose going to it, is that right? I kind of thought that maybe the computer controlled the EGR. Either way I'll probably put a vacuum controlled one on (plugged) since otherwise it would throw off my TBI tune.

Anyone want to sell me a canister? They are amazingly expensive new. Same for EGR for that matter.

Oh yeah, I'll also have to remove my open element air cleaner/breather and put a factory looking thing in there. What a pain. Shouldn't I just be able to buy pollution credits or something? ;)

My TBI has a charcoal canister, PCV valve, EGR, air pump, pre heat to the air cleaner, and cat. You may want to find someone to "smog" you truck like I had to. Even though all my stuff was there and working, days of me and my smog tech playing with it, it never got close to passing.

EGR has one vacuum line.

Charcoal canister, I will have to check mine later tonight.

EGR on a TBI is on the right side of the intake manifold behind the throttle.

The canister is on the steering box side of the truck down by the box inside the engine compartment by the radiator.

I'm not entirely sure what the EGR looks like, so I can't tell you about that one

Here is the canister, notice the purge line hanging off to the left not connected but the line is connected to the TBI as you'll see in pic 3, the line on the right is labeled tank and in the next pic you see where it goes. The center port is capped off on my truck.

The Canister has 3 ports on the top. One is just a vent. One goes to the TBI unit and the last is for the vent on the gas tank. That is the main purpose of the canister.

You should be able to pick one up at any bone yard fairly cheap. Just look on the left side near the rad support.

I am planning to rip all that stuff off of mine and have a custom chip burned for the puter. I have to get rid of the vss so I am gonig to get rid of everything not needed. If you are interested in buying it let me know.

Here are some diagrams I got off of autozones website. I hope to do this someday hopefully sooner.
