TBI flex plate questions

I need a new flexplate as mine is cracked. 168tooth is what I need correct? What about balancing etc. Please help I need to get this ordered soon. I'm sure scott will have the answer

If you have a 350 it will be fine. 400 and 454's use an externally balanced flexplate. 305s use the smaller 153 tooth. If you have a stockish motor, not balancing it will be OK.

If it's a one piece rear mean seal, it uses the externally balanced SB flex plate. If it's a two piece, then it will use the neutral flexplate (unless it was a 400 SB). 454 flexplates are externally balanced too, but not the same.

Yah its a one piece rear main

one piece rear main 350's are externally balanced ( Scott schooled me on that one time when I said all 350's were internally balanced), Parts stores should have one, really common problem with the one piece rear main having a smaller bolt circle and cracking.

No, the bolt circles are smaller on the one piece rear main.
