If it won’t fit on a uhaul trailer, that’s my only other option. I took my 37’s back off it and put the stock wheels and tires back on, so hopefully it’ll fit the trailer. Need to take someDrive from CO to FL as is?

Measurements and find out for sure tho.
I think it's been done many times, but unless U-Haul has changed their policies you have to lie and say it will be a smaller vehicle, which means you're not insured. U-Haul also wants to load the vehicle for you, so you have to start out with a clear story of why it can't be brought to their store.A K5 will easily fit on a uhaul trailer
I haul my truck on a uhaul trailer often, I have never lied, towing a 78 k10 with a 2016 Chevy 2500, and uhaul has never said anything about loading the vehicle for me.I think it's been done many times, but unless U-Haul has changed their policies you have to lie and say it will be a smaller vehicle, which means you're not insured. The only thing uhaul ever did with me is requiring a 3/4 ton or more to rent a trailer.Yeap only thing U haul online said to me Are you sure you want to tow with a 22 year old truck? Not actually they cautioned me about my brakes and cooling system, same difference in my book.
I remember a young U haul guy telling my buddy, in 2010, his 71 F150 wasn't enough truck, fortunately and Old time U haul guy set him straight.
Towed a 68 Caprice Classic 4 door, and 90's something Astro van, on a u haul trailer, both with my 1st 77 k20 burb nobody said nothing about towing with that truck. The caprice was from Grand Junction to Pomona Ca.
