Having trouble findig an answer to my exact question using the search function on this site so dont flame me please...

I have an 88 k5 with the tbi 350 and i was told my timing is too far advanced to pass smog...

I have the manual and an inductive timing light and am pretty mechanically inclined...

The problem im running into is figuring out where the connector i need to disconnect in order to bypass the advance is...

Manual says its a tan wire with a black stripe thats separate from the 4 wire bulkhead next to the distributor...

Can anyone post a pic of which connector it is or help shed some light on it for me...

Thank you to all who help me in advance

Based on the location description in the haynes manual and the sticker on the core support i was looking like 2 feet away from where it actually is lol
