I am unable to find the wire to unplug to set my timing, I think I found it in the harness that runs behind the motor. but I cant find a connector on it because a buddy of mine harness rapped my whole harness. can I just cut the wire on the d5 pin on the ecm and put in a plug myself and use it that way to set timing? It dont matter where the break is in the wire just as long as its unhooked right?

The timing connector should be by the brake booster.

It would be best to not cut that wire, will only cause you grief down the road.

i had this problem too... its in a big bundle of wires coming right out of firewall right under the brake booster, it should be within a few inches of the firewall, you should be able to feel the connecter in there under whatever he wrapped it in
