Im down to these few wires and cant figure out if they're just for gauges or what, tan/white comes from the fuel pump relay and I believe it is the 12v feed to my pump. why it goes into the dash after leaving the relay I don't know..:dunno: the others all come from the computer harness and go into the firewall plug on the drivers side. I'm guessing at least 1 or 2 are power for the computer... any help would be awesome... I would like to get the harness out so that I can run my analog gauge lines through that grommet hole.

I have not done a TBI harness yet, but I have been doing a lot of studying on this because I am going to do one while my engine is out of the engine bay of my truck because it will be easier. This is just a guess, but you may be talking about a PINK/WHITE wire, which is the power wire to the ECM/PCM. This wire starts out as a PURPLE wire from the starter motor. This purple wire runs to the junction block on the firewall, which has a 3-AMP fuse. Then, this wire comes back out into the engine bay as a PINK/WHITE wire. The only problem is that wiring schematics always show this wire just ending, and having a note at the end of its run “TO ECM”, but there is no ECM pin-out designated for this wire to the ECM. This leads me to believe that this wire is just tapped in somewhere with a BUTT splice to another PINK/WHITE wire which runs from the either the ignition coil or the fuel pump relay (I cannot remember which without the wire schematic in front of me). Hope this helps.

I cut the tan/white one from the relay and it did run my fuel pump. now im just gonna cut all the ones left and leave enough to tie back to them if I need to, then tape the ends off.

Why not just pull the bulk head and pull them out?
