Any recommendations on harnesses? I have looked at the Howell harness and the AFI harness.

Thanks,
Ray

You can grab one from the junk yard and rewire for CHEAP! All the information is online.

What are you trying to do?

convert from carb to TBI. I have the throttle body, ecm, distributor and sensors. just need the harness, fuel pump, coil and conversion plate.

I agree, the salvage yard harness is a BARGAIN!:D It took me the better part of a weekend, but I was able to simplify a factory TBI harness. Just a couple wires are spliced, using solder and heat shrink tubing method. I then tested everything on the bench.

if you can afford it and are willing to spend the cash I would go with an aftermarket one. I hate wiring and I do it for a living :D Mine is kind of janky in my blazer but I plan on doing a body swap with an 87 body eventually and redoing all of the wiring. Otherwise modifying the harness is not a big deal. But I recommend doing it right the first time and making it really nice.

I have 2 harnesses pulled and allready converted. 1 for a stick and 1 for a auto. Getting ready to ebay them to get extra cash. interrested? Both are for chevy trucks and no egr and using the 7747 ecm.

do you guys know where i can find the electrical diagrams for an '87 TBI harness. i really just need to identify all the pins in the firewall connector. i'm finishing up a TBI swap on my '74 and i am at the point where i need to splice the wires in. i figured if i could get the wire diagrams, that would save me the trouble of tracing each wire down with a volt meter.
