Tcase Bolts

I wonder if your front driveshaft is pushing and pulling enough on the front output shaft that it's walking the case around and making the bolts come loose. Do you have the side brace from the T-case up to a bellhousing bolt? If not, you should. If it's coming loose when you use 4wd but not when you're using 2wd, that'll be a good clue. That front driveshaft is still plunging when you're in 2wd but with no torque to the front end it'll have less resistance. Don't give in to the urge to brace stuff to the frame. Tie the drivetrain together better.
I need to pull the tcase out soon, once I do I’m going to add the brace back in. I’m secretly waiting for a ORD trans crossmember to match the engine. ;) I don’t think the driveshaft is pushing and pulling, we had it built with the links in, but possible.

The frame flex is really bad behind the cab so it twists that area a lot and with my spirted driving style it doesn’t help.

Need to cage it together. No mas flex.

I've had no problem with the tcase bolts getting loose. I run the tcase to tranny brace. The brace did shear off a bolt and left part of the bolt in the engine block. I got that fixed.

Finally got a chance to look at this, the adapter housing on the trans side came loose. Those 4 bolts were finger tight!

Nord washers on those and ordered more for the tcase side. I swear I have no idea how this happens and it’s only right in the middle of the frame where all the frame flex is….

A manual transmission has more bolts at the adapter…

Don’t forget what @obijuank5 said about the Nords AND studs & Loctite - this way ya get dual threads sharing the retention duties and better clamping force for the applied torque.

Also, what Doc Watson was getting at with the front shaft was not a bottoming out situation but more of a drag resistance kind of deal that could add to or aggravate the problem - a small amount of resistance can add up over time.

Just something to consider a little further…. Go on and get those studs .
