Teck's '86 K5 Build -5.3 LS/4L65E swap

Dropped the brackets off this morning. Said they would be done by the end of the week. And the steps will be here tomorrow.

Super clean, like everything else. Nice job man.

Post a few pics of the underside installed.

I will get some after I make the final adjustments and get all the wiring done.

I like! I am going to have to do this with a shorter version. Just use the motor hinge and a short step to get around the saddle tanks.

So it is now only a 24 1/2" to the top of the step.
It is 38" to the door sill plate.
And 52" to the top of the seat cushion
This made a huge difference on getting in and out of my K5
This will save the edge of the seat cushion from me having to jump to get in and out.
And my knees and back thank me too.

more new parts.
Finally going to try to fix the leak between the trans and the transfer case.
New tie rod and spring bushings

Be careful on the T-case adaptor gaskets, I've bought a figure 8 gasket that was too thin before and there was a gap because one side has a pilot diameter sticking out into a groove and its too deep if you don't have a thick enough gasket. I got the correct one from Stephen at ORD. He said people have broked off the ears before on the adaptor. I am not saying yours is wrong, I just figured better safe than sorry.

I got all those parts from ORD. So hopefully they are all the right ones.

Yes you should be good. I bought the bad one locally at the time, Stephen sent me the correct one, they were well aware of the issue.
