hey guys.. My temp and oil pressure gauges have been hit and miss since I've owned my rig.. Just wanted to clarify something.. If my gauges are pinned to the far right it likely means the gauges themselves are bad correct?.. Assuming that's the case.. Anywhere in particular recommended to get new gauges and are they typically just plug and play easy?..

I thought pinned far right was a bad sending unit. As in grounded out?

Factory electric gauges or aftermarket?

Usually if the sending unit is bad and grounding out it can peg the gauge. Easy way to check is to remove the wire off the affected sending unit and read the ohms between the electrode and a grounded spot on the motor. If you get zero ohms the sending unit is grounded. I think you can just check for continuity too (which there should not be), but do not quote me on that.

Thanks for the tips guys.. i have zero experience testing circuts etc.. gotta start somewhere though so ill go buy a tester and check it out.. heres a question to show you what a greenhorn i am.. can anyone show me a pick of where the temp sensor is on the engine?.. i did locate the oil pressure sensor..

Temp sensor should be in the driver side head or in the intake.
