Th 250!?

a whyle back i bought a turbo 350 and 205 from a guy for a hundred bucks. well i just got i back from my tranny guy and he says "you know this isnt a 350 right?" he says its a lockup 250. it was in a '73 k20. how can you tell the difference between a 350 and 250?
 
thanks i will check it out when i get home. i wish i would have known before i had it built.
 
A TH350 shouldn't be too hard to find , or too expensive to build . A good tranny guy could do you a cash and carry special for under 300 bucks in any City in the US .
 
any body had any experiance with a 250? think it will hold up to any abuse?
 
It sounds like crap. A 350 can be had for next to noting (the core anyways) and the 205 should bolt right up.

Find a 350 core and have it built
 
I've only seen them in cars. My old Bonneville had one; when it burned up I had TH350 put in. I don't think they would hold up well in a truck.

any body had any experiance with a 250? think it will hold up to any abuse?
 
anybody want to buy a fresh rebuilt 250? its got a shift kit! hahaha!

When you droped off the trany you told him it was a th350 right. Then when you picked it up the trany guy told you it was a th250. When he first tore into it he should of none it wasnt a th350 and then called you and told you what you had. Not go ahead and rebuild it then tell you what you have. If it was me I would of raised hell. You told him to rebuild a th350 not a th250, so in other words he didnt do what you wanted.
