Th350 removal

If I have the sockets and extensions it should fine. It has to be, I already ordered the adapters.

The wobble sockets are life changing. Way better than a u-joint socket. I couldn't even get a u-joint socket on the bolts when I did the headers on my hemi. Wobbles saved the day.

Before and after... still some cleaning to do before dropping of for rebuild. Amazing what a wire wheel and wire brush can do.

You know they're going to clean it right?

I assumed they he would clean it. But his instructions specially say more than 1/8 thick of dirt, I have to clean what I can. He will hot tank it. But I dont mind doing a little cleaning myself. I dont really know how indepth of a cleaning a hot tank will do, so....

I sent him some pictures after I pressure washed it and he asked me to take a wire brush to it.

Lol... but yeah..

His prices cant be beat, so far... so if I have to clean it a bit. Ill gladly do it. Besides this thing was freakng dirty, some parts had over an inch of dirt built up. He rebuilds them out of his home garage locally.

I totally get that. Whenever I rebuild a tranny for one of my buddies or work on anything for that matter, I’m like, here’s a brush get to cleaning first...

I don't have anything that has more than 1/8" of dirt.
Usually a film of oil and some dust in it.
If you have an inch by all means clean it. :yikes:

I can rattle can all of this or should I leave the green circle area unpainted...

Dropprd tranny off. Had a few issue internally nothing major, just a melted washer thing that was blocking oil holes and drive gear part was completely worn out. Seems it was rebuilt in the past but half-assed rebuild.

If you don't rebuild it I'd say don't paint it. Just my 2 cents. I usually don't because it's easier to find future leaks, but that's me.

Yeah, well be that as it may, I want to paint it black. Just wondering if that green circle portion can be painted as well.

I contemplated going Orange or Red... but black won out. Red would look pretty cool though but show all the dirt. I may do a coat Of Red just to see....

i will probably switch to wobbles as they are relatively cheap. But i will say that u-joints will work---on bellhousing bolts at least IF you put a little duct tape on them. Not too much, just enough for the approximate position you need.
